Roland Sands Design (RSD) Fall 2017 Apparel Launch Party

My wife and I attended the Roland Sands Design (RSD) Fall 2017 apparel launch party on August 17th at RSD headquarters in Los Alamitos, CA. Roland Sands is a moto legend. He is a former racer who started his own custom shop and a motorcycle apparel brand of epic proportions. Let me just say that I have always loved motorcycles and the culture, so I was beyond excited to attend this event at RSD Headquarters!

As we entered, we walked through the shop passing one amazing bike after another, in various stages of build out. I was in heaven! We were ushered out to the rear where the party was in full swing. A reggae band was playing and a lot of people were already there. Taco Surf served up some tasty tacos and there were coolers full of beer, and a table loaded with red and white wines. We grabbed some food and drinks and staked out a table.

I started wandering through the shop and one of the employees, Andy, gave me a little tour showing me where they bend metal, weld, cut, etc… Everyone was super nice and you could tell they loved working there. Unfortunately, Roland wasn’t there that night, but we did meet his sister Summer Hoover who is the General Manager at RSD.

Suddenly we heard the sound of motorcycles roaring to life as the models got set to start the moto fashion show. They came one by one revving their engines and pulling up to show the new line of RSD moto apparel. It was a fun event, and I was stoked to be there and get to experience the world of RSD.

This was without a doubt the best fashion show that I have ever been to. The positive energy was obvious to everyone and it was so much fun to be a part of. Surf+Ride+Repeat
